Deiniol Williams

Deiniol works with wood-fired stoneware, and is influenced by the environments of his home in mid-Wales. Locally sourced stones and minerals are often mixed into the clay, and wood-ash is used to create the unique glazes.

Bíonn Deiniol ag obair le hearraí cloch a chuireann sé sa tine adhmaid. Is as lár tíre dó sa mBreatain Bheag agus tá lorg an fhóid sin ar a shaothar.Baineann sé úsáid as clocha agus as mianraí na háite, rud a mheascann sé le cré go minic. Úsáideann sé luaithreach adhmaid le craiceann ildaite, neamhghnách a chur ar na hearraí.

Mae Deiniol yn gweithio â chrochenwaith caled wedi’i danio â choed ac mae’n cael ei ddylanwadu gan amgylcheddau ei gynefin yng nghanolbarth Cymru. Yn aml, bydd yn cymysgu cerrig a mwynau o ffynonellau lleol yn glai gan defnyddio lludw coed i greu’r gwydreddau unigryw.
