STATEMENT OF EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY
The Feile Clai Project is a committed equal opportunities organisation and promotes an ethos of equality of access and supporting diversity.
The Feile Clai Project will not tolerate discrimination in any form such as on grounds of ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, political conviction, age, sexual orientation, personal circumstances or any other irrelevant factor other than in exceptional circumstances such as allowed for by legislation.
The Feile Clai Project will take positive steps to support equality of access, where legislation permits, including providing Positive Action Training and special provision for those suffering social or economic deprivation.
Equality of Opportunity is a theme, which runs throughout the Feile Clai Project operating policies, and all policies should be interpreted and implemented in this context.
IMPLEMENTATION
- The Feile Clai Project Employees
A condition of employment is that employees uphold this policy in their daily work. Breach of this policy is construed as a disciplinary matter.
- The Feile Clai Project Clients (to include all individuals accessing facilities offered by the Feile Clai Project. A condition of accessing opportunity at the Feile Clai Project is that all clients subscribe to this policy. Breach of this policy is construed as a serious disciplinary offence and may result in exclusion.
- Contractors (to include all those who enter into contracts to provide goods or services to The Feile Clai Project). This policy will be included as a contractual condition for all contractors working for The Feile Clai Project and all contractors must conduct themselves in a manner supportive of this policy.
- Partners (to include those with non-contractual relationships with The Feile Clai Project)
The Feile Clai Project will only enter into partnership with organisations and individuals who subscribe to this policy. Conduct contrary to the terms and spirit of this policy will be deemed sufficient to dissolve the partnership.
- Other customers
The Feile Clai Project reserves the right to refuse facilities to those who do not subscribe to this policy or whose behaviour or activities are construed by the Directors of The International Ceramics Festival to be contrary to this policy
Provision of equality of access to the venues will be a priority.
